Death of a Wolfman
by Susan Boles
I am happy to have discovered a new and intriguing series. A charming small town in Mississippi, warm and likeable characters, a compelling storyline make this a very enjoyable read. I have always been fascinated with genealogy and it was really interesting to carry out the research along with Lily.
Lily is very passionate about genealogy and has done a lot of research for families of Mercy, the friendly town in which she lives. She receives an assignment from one of the oldest families of the city and is very excited to accept. Soon she should also take care of the death of a man who suffered the "wolfman syndrome". This will make her quarrel with her cousin, the county sheriff who doesn't want meddling in his investigations.
Lily is a great character, an intelligent and resourceful woman, has many capabilities and performs each task with great passion. I loved her relationship with her cousin, their fights were often very funny.
This is the first book that I have read by this author, I love her style full of humor, I can't wait to read her next job.
A mystery really fascinating and engaging, well written with a flowing style and with a perfect mix of suspense and irony, there are many funny scenes and many twists.
I highly recommend this book!
