Title: Riveting His Attention
Author: May Williams
Genre: Historical Romance
Date Published: March 17, 2014
Lady Ella Harwich is capricious. At least that’s what her older brother thinks. However, when it comes to Jim Ferguson, Lady Ella is quite serious. One long, lingering kiss put Jim at the center of her romantic desires and at the top of her list of suitors. And she plans to keep him there. Unfortunately, Jim wants off her list because of a secret past, a career as a shipbuilder instead of a gentleman, and his own inability to resist her. Proving her love—and his worthiness for her love—is Ella’s only way to rivet his attention

My Review
It 's a really amazing novel, I liked it very much. I've chosen to read this book attracted by its cover, then, once I start, it is so addictive that I could not leave it, I read it in a few hours.
It 's set in England in 1858. Lady Ella is a nineteen year old, capricious and doesn't want to marry for necessity, only for love, even if her brother does not seem to agree. Jim Ferguson is an engineer in business with Edmund, the Brother in law of Lady Ella. They working on a really great project: to build a ship impressive and innovative. Jim addition to working very hard must resist the advances of the girl: she has decided that he is the man she wants to marry. Although he is in love can not give, they belong to two different classes and he's also got a dark secret that he is trying to hide. Lady Ella, however, is a woman who does not give up easily and will do anything to get him, will also try to make him jealous with the odious Spencer. Will she reach her goal?
In addition to the truly compelling storyline, the characters are special. At the beginning Ella seems like the classic rich and spoiled girl, used to see her every wish made. It will be shown instead of a woman in love, romantic, strong and willing to make any sacrifice to realize her dream of love. Jim is a very loyal man: it seeks to resist all the way to the strong attraction he feels for Ella, she deserves so much more. He worked hard all his life and now is going to make a big project. Although he is often haunted by the ghosts of his past.

It's a funny story, romantic, and full of suspense. It's really well written, the language is simple and clean, the pace is compelling, never boring, even the descriptions on the operation of the ship weigh down the narrative.
Highly recommended, especially to those who love historical
May WilliamsHighly recommended, especially to those who love historical
May loves romance. Big pink roses, chocolate hearts, sunset walks, but, most of all, she loves romance novels. She’s been reading romances since she first discovered the public library where the librarians didn't notice or didn't care what she was checking out even though she hadn't hit puberty yet.
Since then, May has continued to read every genre of romance, but she writes mostly historical. Places and time periods have stories to tell. And she likes to listen. Her most recent novels are Victorian era pieces where she can imagine beautiful gowns and elegant teas.
When May’s not writing, she manages a houseful of children, pets, and flowers grown in her garden.
