Even this book of this series is very exciting and full of suspense with lovable characters and an interesting plot.
Ellison's specialty is finding bodies before the police and also in this episode doesn't disappoint. We are in the 70s where there were no mobile phones. So when her daughter doesn't come home she is very worried. The only solution is to go into a haunted house and attends a dying clown. While helping the police solve the case she must also solve some sentimental problem. Her only support is Mr Coffee, the only man she trusts.
Ellison is a great character, smart with a strong sense of humor. She's a very present single mom, has a wonderful relationship with her daughter.
It can be read as a standalone but all the books in the series are so well written and engaging that I recommend to read all of them.
It's a well-written mystery with the right dose of humor and romance, there are a couple of intriguing love stories. I loved the dialogues between Ellison and Mr. Coffee, really funny.
