My Review
An amazing British Cozy Mystery. A typical English tea room with traditional products in a British rural town within walking distance of Oxoford: how do you not love this book. A cute cover, a well-developed and intriguing plot, lovable bizarre and very funny characters make this book a real treat. An excellent debut for this new series
Gemma has just opened her tea room. She serves traditional and very delicious cake, with real English tea in the beautiful Chinese porcelain. The atmosphere is perfect and is within walking distance of the oldest English university, so it is much visited by tourists. Business is going well and she just needs money to live on her own. But an American tourist is killed in her local. With the help of some sprightly old ladies will try to solve the mystery before her activity is damaged forever. In the meantime she will also face and manage the detective Devil, her crush college.
I loved this book and once I started I could not put it down. It caused a late night and a very early morning to finish. Very useful and appreciated the recipes of Tradional English Scone at the end of the book, to try absolutely.
I recommend it to those who love cozy mysteries, especially those with typically British atmosphere.
