My Review

I really loved every page of this book, is touching, very romantic and also funny.

For Vivian Westfield work is the most important thing: she is an investigative reporter, wants to go in depth in every assignment that performs but one day she makes a terrible mistake, risking almost ending up in prison, and her boss has punished giving her a new assignment, rubric "Dear Vivi". She is the least suitable person to give advice: she lives only for the work, trying to realize something really important to recover her place. She does not even have the consolation of her friends: they are happily married and transferred to Christmas, in Colorado. And the man she most loved, Chance, suddenly abandoned her leaving a short and silly note. Chance's father is getting married and Vivi is invited to Christmas for the wedding. She's nervous at the thought of seeing again Chance, even more when she realize is sitting next to him on the plane. Soon she discovers that Chance's aunt is strongly determined to get them back together, so they decide to pretend to be in love to get rid of her clumsy attempts as cupid.

I love all characters, both protagonists that secondary. Vivian is a woman determined, enterprising and daring at work, the classic city woman in career. It is really a hoot to see her interact with dogs and especially skunks. She is also very reserved and reluctant to show her true feelings, only to Chance she was able to open her heart and it was returned to smithereens. Chance is deeply hurt: he lost his wife pregnant with their first child in a car accident five years ago. It was just the intense pain to get him away so rudely from Vivi. He never came back to Christmas and it's hard to reopen the house they had built together with so much love. Fortunately there is Vivi at his side and she will help him to elaborate mourning and especially to mitigate his strong sense of guilt.

It's wonderful the chemistry between the two main characters and their dialogues are funny, sparkling, especially their constant teasing.

This is the second book I read of this series and I can not wait to read all of them.

It's a must read for those who love romance.
