When bad weather closes the airport, free-spirited Jules Bloom finds herself stuck with the admittedly hot but total suit Dexter Elliott. One night and one large pitcher of “Vegas Sunrise” later, Jules wakes up in a hotel bed with a vicious hangover…wearing nothing but a wedding ring.

Determined not to ruin his brother's wedding, Dexter strikes a deal with the frustratingly gorgeous Jules to continue their quickie marriage through the weekend. Only she keeps getting under his skin in unexpected ways.

Jules has her own reasons for staying married to Dex but they seem less important with each exaggerated touch and staged kiss. But one marriage, one major secret, and two complete opposites don’t add up to a happily ever after…

Book 3 in the Sugar City series, can be read as a stand alone.

My Review

A few months ago I have read  the second book in this series, I loved it and couldn't wait to get to know another of Elliott Brothers. It's a light and enjoyable read, very sweet and romantic. Magical chemistry between the two protagonists.
Jules has to go to the wedding of her former boyfriend, Vince Elliott. At the airport she meets one of the brothers of the future bridegroom, Dexter. Because of bad weather, their flight is canceled and the streets of Vegas are hardly viable. Waiting for a way to go to the hotel and to bring Jules at home, they spend time together at the bar. But perhaps they drink too much because they wake up the next morning married. Not to ruin the ceremony they decide to stay married and divorce peacefully after the wedding, so Dexter can also win a ridiculous wager made with his brothers. But the line between reality and fiction is very weak.
Jules and Dexter are very different. She is an artist, loves to paint, is sweet and funny. She's a sincere girl, outspoken and will not be easy for her to pretend that she has married Dexter for love. He's a work addict, can't live without his cell phone, dresses only elegant and designer clothes. He has an incredible charm and is able to have any woman he wants but just want short relationship, preferably just one night.
It is an entertaining and relaxing read, with some scenes full of humor to laugh out loud. The plot is clever and the dialogue is witty.
I definitely recommend this one.

USA Today bestselling author Ophelia London was born and raised among the redwood trees in beautiful northern California. Once she was fully educated, she decided to settle in Florida, but her car broke down in Texas and she’s lived in Dallas ever since. A cupcake and treadmill aficionado (obviously those things are connected), she spends her time watching arthouse movies and impossibly trashy TV, while living vicariously through the characters she writes. Ophelia is the author of the Sugar City series, including WIFE FOR THE WEEKEND and KISSING HER CRUSH; AIMEE & THE HEARTTHROB; CHALK LINES & LIPSTICK; DEFINITELY, MAYBE IN LOVE; the Abby Road series; and the Perfect Kisses series.
