This is an intriguing and amazing book. Isabelle and Devon have lots of chemistry and this book was lots of fun to read. The plot had me hooked from the first page.
Devon has had to grow up very quickly. He had to defend his mother and her younger brothers from their abusive and alcoholic father. He's became a lawyer and helped his mother in her divorce. Now the family has inherited some money from his grandfather and he is dealing with the management of their new assets. He thinks only about work, he's a workaholic.
Isabelle has always worked in the flower shop of her parents. But they have decided to sell the store and realize their dream of going to live in a hot country. The new owner has guaranteed them that Isabelle will keep her job. The problem is that the new owner is Devon, the guy that she is always in love and that once rudely refused her invitation to the prom. How can she work side by side with him? Devon discovers is attracted to Isabelle but may not have a relationship with his employee. Isabelle wants to make another attempt to win his heart. Will she succeed this time?
I really enjoy Susan Meier's easy writing style. She makes me laugh. This is a very enjoyable read with compelling plot, appealing characters, lots of chemistry and sweet romance.
It's the third book in the series "Donovan Brothers", each book may be enjoyed as a stand alone novel but for more enjoyment read the whole series. I can not wait to read the previous two books to know the stories of Isabelle's friends, Piper and Ellie.
I have no hesitation in recommending it highly.
I received an advance reader edition of this book from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley for the purpose of providing an honest review.
