If there’s one thing that Bridgette Reynolds has learned recently, it’s that the perfect shoes, the perfect hair, and the perfect dress do not make for the perfect proposal. In fact, sometimes they make for the not-so-perfect breakup. Now, Bridgette must do everything in her power to win Adam back. She knows they are meant to be. And nothing will stand in her way—not her friends, not her grandmother, not even the fact that Adam is now engaged to Serene after a whirlwind romance. Focused on her plan to win Adam back, Bridgette isn’t expecting Ian—her college best friend, her love, her big regret—to come back into her life. They sink back into their comfortable friendship as if no time has passed at all, making Bridgette start to question her feelings for Adam. But Ian has a few secrets of his own . . . secrets that could shatter their friendship once and for all. Bridgette has to make some major decisions—should she speak now? Or forever hold her peace?

My Review:

I really enjoyed it, this was an awesome and funny book. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down.
Bridgette has a date with her boyfriend Adam: he must tell her  something very important. She is convinced that he will ask her to marry him and dresses and makeup to be perfect for this special moment. But really he just wants to break off their story, he believes that for them there is no future. Bridgette is destroyed but doesn't give up, even when Adam begins attending another girl. Suddenly reappears in her life Ian, a dear friend from college, her biggest regret. He's the right man at the right time: she can use him to make Adam jealous and take him back. But Adam is just what she wants?
The characters are believable and realistic, it is easy to empathize with them. Bridgette is a nice girl, determined, very romantic but also a bit clumsy. Her grandmother is very funny and modern, a very unusual lady.
It 's very well written, with a great sense of humor: I like the style of Becky Monson, is the second book I read and certainly will not be the last.
It 's a pleasant read, light, with really funny scenes, some twists and much romance
I recommend it to anyone who wants to read a chick lit really well done
