Bingo 2015 Reading Challenge: French, Vintage Mystery & Victorian

                                             Vintage Mystery BINGO 2015

Hosted by: Bev @ My Reader's Block

Here are the rules:

* All books must be from the mystery category (crime fiction, detective fiction, espionage, etc.).  The mystery/crime must be the primaryfeature of the book--ghost stories, paranormal, romance, humor, etc are all welcome as ingredients, but must not be the primary category under which these books would be labeled at the library or bookstore.

*Challengers may play either the Silver Age or Golden Age Card—or both.  For the purposes of this challenge, the Golden Age Vintage Mysteries must have been first published before 1960. Golden Age short story collections (whether published pre-1960 or not) are permissible provided all of the stories included in the collection were originally written pre-1960.  Please remember that some of our Golden Age Vintage authors wrote well after 1959--so keep an eye on the original publication date and apply them to the appropriate card.  Silver Age Vintage Mysteries may be first published any time from 1960 to 1989 (inclusive).  Again, Silver Age short story collections published later than 1989 are permissible as long as they include no stories first published later than 1989.  Yes, I admit my dates are arbitrary and may not exactly meet standard definitions of Golden or Silver Age.

*Challenge runs from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015. Sign up any time between now and November 4, 2015.  Any books read from January 1 on may count regardless of your sign-up date. If you have a blog, please post about the challenge and a little bit about your commitment—if you’re going Silver or Gold…or maybe some of each. Then sign up via one of the linkys found below. And please make the url link to your Challenge post and not your home page.(Links that do not follow this rule will be removed.)  If you decide to go for broke and try to score on both cards, you only need sign up once--pick a card, any card for your link.

I did a  bad job with the 2014 version....... This year I want to do much better
I'm signing up for the Gold Edition again, books published before 1960. Here's the card with all the possible categories:

FRENCH BINGO

Jan 1- Dec 31, 2015

HOW TO SIGN UP?

No Linky this time, just sign up by leaving a comment here
– If you have a book blog, paste the link to your blog post where you tell your intention to play this game

HOW TO PLAY?

French Bingo 2015 card
To be eligible for a drawing at the end of the year for a book to win, you need to complete one BINGO.
This applies to your book reviews.
They need to be posted on your blog or on your Goodreads page between January 1- December 31, 2015
NB: it’s ok to read all these in translation in your native language.
BINGOS may be claimed by completing 5 spaces in a row–horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
You may also claim a “Four Corner” BINGO by reading a book for each of the four corners plus 1 more space —any space you wish.
Then, AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR BINGO,
you get 1 extra entry per 1 extra square you fill in – these extra squares can be located anywhere on the board.
So after your bingo, the more squares you cover, the more chances you have to win a book at the end of the year!
PLEASE LIST HERE IN A COMMENT THE TITLE AND AUTHOR OF A BOOK YOU JUST REVIEWED, WITH THE LINK TO YOUR REVIEW, AND SAY BINGO WHEN YOU LIST YOUR #5 !
Please use the following format when you share your links:
A1: title, by author, link to your review (the review needs to be posted on your blog or on your Goodreads page between January 1- December 31, 2015)
B2: title, by author, link to your review
etc.
After your Bingo is completed, use the same format to report in a comment any extra single square you filled in.

THERE WILL BE A GIVEAWAY
AT THE END OF 2015:
BE SURE TO FINISH YOUR CHALLENGE
TO GET A CHANCE TO WIN 1 BOOK!

The 2015 Challenge. The first Bingo card is for 2015.
The goal is to get a Bingo (horizontal, vertical, diagonal, four corners and center square). This will require a minimum of five books.

One book per square. For example: Oliver Twist can count for "Book with a name as the title" or "Charles Dickens" or "Book published 1837-1940" or "Book published in serial format" or "Book over 400 pages" or "Book that has been adapted into a movie" or "Book set in England."  But obviously, it can only count once.
