Janet is an orphan girl who lives alone with a cat, Alexander, who is very much attached . She's forced to go away on business for a few days and the cat ends up in an animal shelter and soon after is bought. To recover it, she is all too ready to sneak into the house of the new owners during the night. Unfortunately, her plan backfires and she is discovered by Matt ..... Matt threatens to call the police it will not only if she will pretend to be his wife Vanessa . The girl accepted after much hesitation . She'll find that Matt has told many lies and he has a plan to defraud his aunt but also discovers that she is falling in love for him. Janet will be able to get back her cat without suffering?
This is the second book in the series Destiny Bay: you can easily read without having read the first. It 's set in Destiny Bay where Janet has always lived and where lives Matt's aunt that he is trying to cheat.
I really liked the character of Janet. She is a very sweet girl but also very determined: she alone made his father's dream of having a magazine of botany , and is ready to do anything to get his beloved cat . She had a few relationships and she is deeply affected by Matt. Matt looks like a cheater actually has good reason . He's afraid of the feelings that he feels for Janet.
It 's a story written really well, is smooth and addictive, once you start it is hard to quit. It 's a novel sweet and funny , even a little mysterious . The language is simple and clean, suitable for all ages.
